Storm Darwin has knocked a number of trees on the islands, including part of the tree the eagles used for nesting in 2012. It appears that the eagles were going to nest in this tree in 2014 but that will not happen now. The storm also knocked one of the favourite perches on Cribby Island.

Towards the end of the month the birds spend more time on Cribby and have begun construction on a new nest on the island.
